“Take care of yourself first.” This is the message that Margaret wants to send to the world through her online food store, Geustikon (yef-sti-kón).

Noticing that modern women and mothers have little—if any—time for themselves, she decided to do something about it and remind them that they need to take care of themselves in order to take care of everyone else. Thus, she decided to take care of their nourishment by making healthy, nutritious, and safe food choices easily accessible to them.

Inspired by her family’s local food store in Thebes, Greece, she decided to launch her own online food store. By collecting food offerings from the most trusted Greek producers and brands, she wanted to create an online “safe space” for people who want the most nutritious food choices when they buy but have no time to look for them.

Margaret asked me to guide her through the branding process and help her turn her idea into a real brand. Our journey led to the creation of Geustikon, an online store for high-quality Greek food offerings selected and delivered with care and respect.

By researching Margaret's deeper motives, we discovered that her brand is unique for several reasons:

  • It offers the experience of a local food market online.

  • It strives to promote the message of self-care through high-quality food.

  • It is committed to supporting and featuring small local producers and brands that are often overlooked by conventional supermarkets.

  • It embodies a caregiving nature.

The goal of branding Geustikon was to express these unique values through a compelling visual identity.

By designing a visual identity that reflects its nurturing and sophisticated nature, along with a genuinely compassionate brand voice, we effectively prepared Geustikon to provide a unique food store experience for its customers.
